1、 Characteristics of FYX nitric acid submersible pump

The boiling point of nitric acid varies at different concentrations, so users must provide the concentration and operating temperature of nitric acid when selecting.



2、 Selection of Material for Concentrated Nitric Acid Submerged Pump

1. High purity aluminum

Among these materials, high-purity aluminum has excellent resistance to concentrated nitric acid corrosion at room temperature. The disadvantage is that when the concentrated nitric acid temperature exceeds 60 ℃, high-purity aluminum is obviously not resistant to concentrated nitric acid corrosion. Therefore, high-purity aluminum submersible pumps can only transport nitric acid with a working temperature below 60 ℃.

2. High silicon iron

High silicon iron has good resistance to concentrated nitric acid corrosion in various temperature environments, but its fragile nature and poor mechanical properties limit its use in concentrated nitric acid transportation.

3. Tetrafluoroethylene

Tetrafluoroethylene is also resistant to nitric acid corrosion at temperatures below 120 ° C, and due to its own characteristics such as relatively soft mechanical properties and susceptibility to aging. These also limit the use of PTFE pumps in nitric acid equipment. At present, it is mainly used for mechanical seals and gaskets. Use other materials to make the pump

4. Among these materials, special high silicon stainless steel has better comprehensive resistance to concentrated nitric acid corrosion. Its corrosion resistance is superior to high-purity aluminum and similar to high silicon iron, and its mechanical strength and machinability are incomparable to high-purity aluminum and high silicon iron. This material is relatively expensive and requires a high initial investment, but it has good corrosion resistance and a long service life. It has good mechanical performance, high safety factor during use, easy maintenance, etc. It can achieve less or no parking during production, improving the production efficiency of the entire production line.

5.304L

In the impression of most users, 316 is always more corrosion-resistant than 304. However, this statement is not objective. In nitric acid, 304L has higher corrosion resistance than 316L because the presence of Mo reduces the corrosion resistance of stainless steel in nitric acid. In boiling 65% nitric acid, the corrosion rate of 304L is 0.15mm/year, while 316L exceeds 0.3mm/year,

304L is suitable for nitric acid with concentrations below 68% and temperatures ranging from room temperature to boiling point.
